World Vision’s Famine program is a global youth movement against hunger and poverty. Thousands of participants come together for one weekend to engage in voluntary fasting and productive activities in order to raise funds and awareness about world hunger.

The World Vision Famine program’s aim is to make young Filipinos realize their worth and power as youth, citizens and fellowmen by becoming leaders in modeling social responsiveness and change.

All the funds raised during the “12-hour Famine” will go to areas in dire need where World Vision programs are working intensely to lessen, if not totally eradicate, the pains of poverty.

When: November 6, 2010, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Where: Flying V- Arena, San Juan, Metro Manila
What: For 12 hours, hundreds of Filipino youth will come together as one lending their voices to this global fight against hunger and poverty.

World Vision: Sponsor a child!

Yesterday, me and the family went malling at SM North Edsa, and while we were walking, I was handed this piece of brochure from World Vision.

I first heard of World Vision on TV, when there was this talk show that features such. World Vision is an organization which helps families who are experiencing poverty and cannot send their children to school. what they do is they find people who are willing to sponsor a child to study in school. Some of TV personalities who are now sponsoring children in World Vision are Sam Milby, Karen Davila, Nikki Gil, Sam Concepcion, world class performers Lea Salongga and Charice Pempengco.

Everytime my mom and I drives to Quezon Circle every morning for our usual Taebo Exercise, we always pass by the World Vision center located in Quezon Ave. and I once told my mom when we were inside the car, that someday, when I'm earning extra money, I would want to sponsor a child or two. I am inspired by the fact that the goal of World Vision is to send children who are in deep poverty to study for them to have a better future because that fact that millions of children around the world are undedicated, even if how much they wanted to study, they can't because their parents can't provide them education.

This is actually one of my wildest dreams, to sponsor a child. and in the near future, I would probably pursue this. :)

A new Kim-Gerald movie that every Kimerald should watch for. Their movie called “Till My Heartaches End” shows a very different Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson. They are already considered young actors and actresses of their generation. They were stars from ABS-CBN primetime dramas “Tayong Dalawa” and “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo” which they were recognized as Primetime Drama Princess and Primetime Action-Drama Prince respectively.

Jose Javier Reyes wrote and directed this movie. He also revealed that he created a script from scratch, wrote it just over the weekend. The love story revolves between Agnes (Kim) and Paolo (Gerald) based from the point of view of their friends. They shoot the movie just only 6 weeks. I never thought that a film would be in a month and a half in production.

Til' my heartache end official trailer. follow the link:

Hello Breakfast!

Hotdog/Tocilog delivered from the tapsilugan near our place
and a cup of coffee for my breakfast this morning.

This is one good thing about sembreak, since classes are over for the mean time
I won't be eating a bread or two or nothing at all for breakfast
because of hurrying for school!

I miss having "pampering breakfast"

Time flies so fast

Time flies so fast.

I just can't believe that there is only one sem left before graduation. I am sooo excited. Really. I remember walking through the hallways of FEU on my first year! and now, Graduation day is fast approaching! like 4 months from now!? Gee. I wish all these hard works will pay off, Hopefully, very soon.

Since the end of my student life is near., a lot of people kept asking me what's my plan after grad, well, I seriously don't know yet but I do have plans, I wanna work immediately after resting from the whole college thingy. then apply for a temporary job, good for maybe a year, and that's when I will be thinking a million times over if I will be proceeding to Law school. and by that time, I will be deciding for myself, totally. I don't want people to intervene, I have to follow what my heart and mind says. Yes, Law school sounds real tough, imagine if I will be passing the bar exams after studying Law and be called Attorney in the near future, that would probably be my greatest achievement and my parents and especially my dad who is frustrated Lawyer would be so proud of me! But at the same time, studying Law seems to be really difficult, sleepless nights, hundreds of paper works and books to read and memorize! and taking almost one half of my social life doesn't sound such a good idea. lol. That is why I'm going to take a serious momentum on thinking and deciding! Haha. On the other hand, I'm so proud of my classmates/batchmates who will be proceeding to Law immediately after graduation, the next school year maybe, They'll be doing great in Law school, I swear. But for me, It will take like a year for me to decide and when that comes, I'll be sure of my final decision and never regret a single thing coz that comes from my heart and mind. =)

For the mean time, enjoying the rest of the sembreak and last sem with my batchmates/classmates. Im gonna miss them all for sure! ;)

ciao!

xoxo,
Clari
