Keeping the faith alive.

"Wag kayong makakalimot sa taas, dahil siya lang ang makakatulong sa lahat ng pagsubok na pinagdaraanan natin" - the exact words my dad told me one sunday afternoon.

These are the days I consider as the most difficult situation of me and my family's lives. My dad will be away for I don't how long because of a work assignment and from there, we will be constantly experience a lot of difficulties, emotionally...especially with financial issues and this is when we need HIM, the creator, the most.

and truly, God has been good to us, but a lot of times he tests our faith, he gives us problem then gives a solution and then again when we thought everything's gonna be okay, another problem comes, but I've felt this his way of testing how far can we strengthen our faith in him. but no matter what or how he test us, we will never give up on it.

It may not be obvious, but I am very much in love with God and it made me love my family more because of his words and teachings. and forever, I will give thanks and praise!

God is good, all the times!

Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

A heroic deed to save a life.

Yahoo featured story:

Boy saved brother’s life in Australian flood

Jordan Rice, a 13-year-old Australian boy, has emerged as a tragic-heroic figure in news accounts of the disastrous Australian floods, after he asked a rescuer to save his little brother, Blake, before himself. Jordan Rice and his mother, Donna, were swept away by floodwaters and drowned before rescuer Warren McErlean could return for them.

Jordan's father, John Tyson, told the Toowoomba Chronicle Jordan could not swim and was terrified of water.

"I can only imagine what was going on inside to give up his life to save his brother, even though he was petrified of water," he said. "He is our little hero."

Tyson told the paper his longtime partner, Donna Rice, was driving with two of her young sons in tire-level water when her engine stopped. She called for help and the three of them got on the roof of the car as the floodwaters rose quickly. Bystanders were not offering help until McErlean tied a rope around himself and went after them.

A wave of water was coming fast when McErlean reached them with the rope. "Save my brother first," Jordan said, according to McErlean.

What a heroic act for a 13 year old! He's truly an angel. :')

Something to be proud of myself.

A week ago, I was at my friend's dorm for a visit, she's like my "anak-anakan" in college who's very close to my heart.

"Ma, you know why I love you?" she asked me, out of nowhere. while I was busy doing something on her laptop.

"Osige, Bakit?" I asked. Out of curiousity. Bakit nga ba niya ako love?

she then answered me "Kasi kahit kailan, di ko na feel na na-insecure ka saakin...I mean, di mo ko pinigilan sa mga gusto kong gawin, at masaya ka pag may na-aachieve akong bagay"

"Syempre naman" the only thing that came out of my mouth after she said that, I wanted to explain why I am like such, but I don't wanna be too emotional. hahaha.

Well, maybe because, I'm just like that. I mean, I get jealous sometimes, but I never get insecure, especially with the people I love. I am the happiest person if they achieve something or they've reached the peak of their success. I never discourage or use someone for the benefit of my own instead I encourage them and even let them know that I am one of their supporters. I love supporting the ones I love to whatever they want to do with their lives, because I'm thinking that someday when I'll be the one to have achieve something, they will also be happy and support me all the way.

Maybe that's one good quality that I possess and that's just something to be proud of. :)

xoxo
