N'SYNC reunited at the MTV VMA 2013 (Blog Update)

Hey! I'm baaaack! ;)

Yeah, I know it's been a while since I last updated my blog. it's been really busy at work these past few months that I haven't really get a chance to blog about things that had happened. there's a lot, actually. but let me just save this space for what I would really want to write about today.

The N'SYNC one night night only reunion performance just left me stunned, until now. YES. it all happened at the the MTV Video Music Awards last August 25th, during Justin Timberlake's incredible solo performance right before his Micheal Jackson's Video Vanguard Awards Acceptance. It was truly an amazing moment for Justin to be able to share the stage with his boys that became a part of his huge success and which bought him to where he is now. and for us, N'sync fans, who have been longing for a reunion, it was really emotional seeing the five guys reunited for even just one night, they sang a snippet of two of their biggest hits back then, "Girlfriend" and "Bye, Bye, Bye" the crowd went wild and people where singing along, it took us back to the early 2000s when boy bands were here and there and an absolute trend in the music scene and of course, N'sync was one the successful groups back then, the performance was short but sweet, we wanted more but we absolutely understood that it was Justin Timberlake's big moment. Praises and great words were heard after the show, and that JT plus N'sync performace was truly the highlight of this year's MTV VMA.

I've been a huge fan of N'sync since 1997 along with my aunts and I can say, I'm a die hard one. I have their concerts on DVD, albums, posters and memorized every words of almost all the tracks in their album. So seeing this moment, literally made me cry. Thank you MTV for making me and millions of N'sync fans around the world happy! this is truly unforgettable.

And for Justin  Timberlake, after all the hardwork you have put into your music, the professionalism and the love for your fans, you deserved all these awards. Congratulations! :)

Below are some pictures from MTV VMA and a video news from a Clevver News which so far, my favorite critique news about the performance! :)

Add color to your look!

For every girl, "make ups" are usually a must-have, of course we love to show up our natural beauty, but the use of make up will create glow and color to our faces.

In my cases, I love make-ups, I wear it depending on what occasion I'll be going to, but most of time, I like it   lighter for an ordinary day like going to the mall, hanging out with friends or even at work. The love for make-ups begins when I was in high school, I started watching videos, looking into magazines for small tips since I was just in high school back then, I don't want to apply heavy make-up. It just started out with a face powder and a blush-on and that's it! just enough for high school students. the interest for these things just went on when I have added knowledge about it, on how to apply, what color to use and etc. my make-up application skills was tested when back in third year high school, I applied make-ups to almost the whole cheering team and I was very happy and satisfied with the outcome and until now, I've been doing hair and make-ups for models for photo shoots, but of course, this not the big projects that you think of, I am just an amateur or I must say a beginner and so the whole thing was just "amateur-ish"  :)

I think my very important tip is not to worry too much about the make-up brand the you're using, like locally, there's Careline and Ever Bilena, those are local but really good make ups for girls who don't really have that  budget to buy those world renowned make-up brands, as long as you know what color is good for your skin and how to apply, then you're just fine!

Another tip that I can share with you is that you don't need to use one brand for your whole make-up set, It's  totally okay to use different brands, because sometimes, you can't get what you need for one brand so you need to find other options, right? Plus you can try them to see what fits you best! It's like experimenting.

Having to share all my self tips for make-ups, I also want to share what make-up products I usually bring. daily, I don't use everything everyday but It's always inside my bag with me just in case we have important things to put on a make-up for, either heavy or light. :)

1.) Face Powder/Foundation

I have two, one face powder and one foundation, both from Ever Bilena, the face powder is what I use for my normal day instead of just using a lose powder. The foundation, I used it when I am to apply heavy make-ups, for parties, events, clubbing. :)

2.) Blush on

I also have two for blush on, one is the normal blush on brush and the other one is the cheek and lip tint. the brush one is also what I used for normal days while the cheek and lip tint is also for heavy make-ups because it stays on your cheek longer, and it's dual purpose. both are from Ever Bilena as well!

3.) Liquid Eyeliner & Mascara

Again, this also from Ever Bilena, and it's a two in one liquid eyeliner and mascara, since I am not really into Mascara because I don't have long lashes, I just make it to the point that I have one in my bag if ever I need to apply a little, also for the liquid eyeliner which I only use when I'm going out for a special ocassion. good I don't need to buy a seperate one for each :)

4.) Lipstick

For lipsticks, I used three shades of color depending on what type of occasion, I have one for normal days and for parties as well and as you noticed, the brands aren't local brands because I can spend more for a lipstick because I love them, haha, plus the shade of color is not the usual color we see with other local brands. :) these ones are from Sophie Paris, Mac and Shu Uemura

I wanna share all the make up products I have but I better just show you guys what I apply everyday for ordinary days! these should also be your everyday must haves!

Again, It's great to show our natural beauty but you might wanna add a bit color to that look! :)

Apply a little and be attractive. Have fun girls! Stay beautiful!

I pray for the Philippines.

It's been raining these past few days already, sad to think that we are again experiencing what had happened during typhoon Ondoy a couple of years back. coming from work yesterday morning made me remember what I've been through during Ondoy times, walking in flooded streets to our house, the only difference is I was still in college during that time, and now that I am already working, it happened again.

Nevertheless, I am still very lucky to be included to the those people who are safe, event though we also did experienced bit flood inside home, it's not exaggerated, and while many of us are safe staying indoors, there are still many people who are still struggling with the flood and heavy rainfall, it just breaks my heart to watch the news on TV, seeing people who were stranded somewhere outside, families who were stucked in their home with no food and water, people who were already staying on the roof of their houses. I'm a bit sad that I can't do anything to help at the moment because though how much I wanted volunteer, I can't go outdoors because of the intense rain and flood

All I can guarantee is I'm giving my 100% prayers for every individual most especially to our brave rescuers who continues to save people's lives despite of this tragic situation. I'm also online almost the whole day, RT-ing tweets for the rescue operations so that somehow these voices can be heard, I know a lot of people who are also doing the same thing, helping in any little way they can.

To my fellow Filipinos, We are all in this together. Prayers will always be our strongest weapons.

Claribel's movie review: STEP UP 4 Revolution

Genuine, exciting and fierce, this is how I describe the latest movie dance sequel, "STEP UP 4 Revolution". As a huge follower of the said sequel I was impressed of how the movie went, It was jam-packed with the "dopest" dance routines and production concept, they truly set the bar high on on this movie, although to be honest, there are hip-hop routines that are just the same level with the the last three sequels, I was surprised of how they were able to put a twist on it, every dance scenes has that unique concept, something that you have never seen before with the previous three.

They also put a huge highlight on contemporary dance so audience will not be fed up with too much hip-hop and I must say the female main cast of the movie Kathryn Mccormick who plays Emily was able to perform her role as contemporary dancer did perform fabulously on her role. Same thing with Ryan Guzman who plays Sean, the main male cast of the movie who was also amazing on his dance moves and how he deliver his part, not to mention this was his very first big screen appearance. and as love interest on the film, they have chemistry together and both stars are two good-looking people.

Anyway, aside from of course, the dancing and the main casts, I also notice that the story on this one was a little bit different, still with a twist, I am comparing this with the rest of the sequels which usually the story revolves around a group of dancers who wants to be well known by competing with other several dance groups as well, but in Step Up 4 revolution, the dancers were like the mysterious types who wanted to introduce how good they dance first before revealing who they really are and at the end, they realize that dancing can actually save people's lives, in short, this is now dancing with a purpose.

Last thing, if you have watched all three previous sequels, you'll notice that the dancing on the end part were really the important and main highlight of the movie and I must say, this latest sequel got the best dance ending. Now, I don't wanna spoil too much information so you gotta watch the movie if you wanna know what's in store for you.

For people who loves dancing, wants to learn how to dance, frustrated dancers and who were already established dancers... I strongly recommend the movie!!! :) dropped by theaters to watch it and lemme' know what you think!!! ;)

Plutus in Pansol!

On my previous post, I mentioned that I will be updating on our next trip in Laguna. and as a promise, here it is!!! :) hmmm. I don't really know what else more to share, but every time I am with these people on a trip, I never had a dull moment.

We left Makati at around 3 in the afternoon and arrived in Pansol, Laguna at around 5pm. and as usual, we were all noisy and laughing throughout the whole ride! (whats new? lol) We rent a house with a private pool, this was not so new for the other teammates because it's the same place they went two years ago, some of us were not with the team yet. hehehe. we had unlimited videoke, unlimited swimming, and delicious food, as always! sinigang, adobo, sinangag, hotdog, ginisang sardinas, inihaw na tilapia and liempo for our overnight stay.... there are a lot of other things that happened that night and 'm sorry because I can't share everything that had happened, we all have that reminder that "What happens in Laguna, stays in laguna" so since that was only overnight, we did make the most out of it!!! and just so you know, IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST DAYS OF OUR OUTINGS!!! Hell to the yeahhh!! :)))))

Again, in moments like these, I never forget to bring my camera. LOL. here are some pictures!! :D

Plutus in Batangas!

Since the team was planning to have an outing again and since it was fiest in Matinggain Lemery Batangas, we were invited by Chad (Teammate) to come to their place in Batangas for the Fiesta! It was two nights pig-out! like literally, we had a lot of food for our two days stay c/o Chad's titas and titos! :) We also had unlimited Wi-fi and Videoke, we almost sang the whole song book, Hahaha. I kid!!! :p  We also went to the beach resort nearby on the second day. It was a lot of fun.

To add to what I'm sharing now, while we were in Batangas for two days, we didn't have any idea that it will be our last outing as an official team because when we got back, we found out that our team was already disperesed! at first, it was really hard to accept what happened especially those who where with the team from the beginning, just like me, I've been with Plutus for almost a year since I got hired so It was hard for my part when I heard the news, also with my teammates who've been there more than a year! but eventually we realized that things happens for a reason. We accepted and moved forward! but of course, it doesn't stop us to still have team outings as a Team Plutus!! :)) infact, our latest trip will be tomorrow in Laguna!! Yay! I'll be updating about it soon. :)

Here are some pictures in Batangas from my camera. :)

NEXT BONDING NA PLUTUS!!!!!! :)

Thoughts about clubbing.

I'm back everybody! It's been a while since I last updated my blog. been busy with work as usual because I need to really focus on my job coz it's not that easy. Hehe. But despite of being busy at work, I still find time for myself, I go out and have a date with myself, I have coffee, I eat, shop a little and even watch a movie, and yes, even when I'm alone. If other people can't do it, I've done it a lot of times! LOL and it's also a best way for me to have a moment of my own, a moment to think of things I need to do, my priorities and my goals this year.

Anyway, with regards to finding time for myself, aside from going to the mall and watch a movie, one thing I love to do is go clubbing" of course this is not the typical beer house thing, okay? Haha. these are night-parties within the metro and I know most of you who are on my generation and even the new one can relate to me, I KNOW YOU DO. HAHA

For parents, clubbing or during their years they call it "disco" sounds like you'll be staying up late 'til the morning, you'll drink alcohol 'til you get so drunk and worst, you'll make out with a stranger that you just met on that same night, so most of the parents don't allow their kids to go clubbing because of those kinds of reasons.

For most of us, we think of clubbing as one way for us to really have a good time! don't you agree? Strobe lights, good music and that awesome dance floor for you to work those dance skills.
As for me, whenever I go clubbing, I don't really drink that much, I'm more concern of dancing because If I wanna drink, I should have go to somewhere I can sit down, drink and talk, somewhere like Central or Tides. So whenever I go to clubs, I make sure that I also bring great people who can join the dance floor with me so we can just enjoy the night away, and at the end of the day when I sweat out and my feet hurts, that only means that I had a great time!

I love going to parties like that but I'm definitely not a party-animal, I don't go clubbing just to show-off, like there are people who really think when they go to clubs, they will already be considered as cool because they party at night like most of the people do and that's a big "NO-NO". never show-off! keep that in mind :)
For first time clubbers, here are just some of the club you can go to.

I love Romantic Films.

I am just one of the thousand people who loves romantic movies and you can't deny the fact that these movies are usually based on true events, something that happens to a couple in reality. film writers sometimes make a little twist to it, but anyhow, they still captures our hearts in one way or another.

Aside from the fact the fact romantic films can make us shudder with delight, one thing that I really like about them is they show all kinds of love stories, not just love stories that always ends up happy but also those that struggles, suffers and fight for that certain love but still fails at the end, it's because that happens in real life, we don't usually get what we want or who we want. Love stories doesn't always ends with "happily ever after".

I also believe, personally, that romantic films teaches you love and life lessons, it teaches you how to love faithfully, wait for the right person to come, heal a broken heart, move on and forget the past, fight for that person you love, develop the relationship you have with your special someone and search for that one true love. :) and for us movie watchers, we learn from every scene they make!:)

Some of my favorite romantic films includes The Notebook, If only, PS I love you, Dear John and The Vow which was just recently shown on theaters.
